#this hurts so much because they look just like regular tourists #maybe college kids on a road trip or a young couple choosing to go somewhere quaint on their honeymoon #but they never catch a break from hunting they never TAKE a break from hunting #they always see it as their responsibility to put themselves in danger for the sake of others #without expecting any thanks or recognition all while being chased by the law and their own supernatural enemies #i just want them to retire one day to the batcave and grow old and grey and live happily ever after #doing research for other hunters and translating texts— i bet sam speaks enochian after his time in the cage #and dean cooks them home-made meals and they sit around the library drinking and reminiscing #and this time it’s the good memories they recall all the pranks and time spent on the hood of the impala watching the stars #and it was a hard life they lived but they don’t regret b/c they’re here together in the end and that’s always been all that matters
