Living in London all my life, this challenge was a bit more… challenging. I’ve got some Irish in me true, but I haven’t been back to Ireland in ten years now. Plus all I ever did was visit family so you’d just get Farms, Tea and Cake ^^;
But my favourite thing about being English is how we’re all decedents of immigrants and our language is just as much a mixture of cultures as our own is. We’ve got Norse words like “Cake" and “Shy"; Norman words like “Beef" and “Pork" along with Anglo Saxon words such as “ache" and “cuddle"
So in 1066, with all these cultures and languages descending on us, there must have been times where nobody knew what anybody was talking about!
So yes, have Norman!Sherlock , Viking!John and Anglo-Saxon!Lestrade and Donovan
