As some of you may have seen, I recently compiled some AO3 statistics about the works on the site. While discussing those results, I discovered there’s almost no statistics on fandom demographics – in particular, on gender identity, sexuality, and race.
So I’m doing the survey myself!
This survey will run until the end of October and I would ideally hope to gather around 2000 responses – about 1% of the users of the site. This is in no way official or endorsed by AO3 or OTW, but is archive-specific to correspond to the stats I have already done. I will be posting all of my results in #ao3 census when they are available.
If you use Archive of Our Own, please fill out the form – it’ll only take 5-10 minutes, and you can skip whatever questions you like if you’re in a hurry.
Even if you don’t or can’t participate, please reblog this post to spread the word! The more responses I get, the better the results will be.
