After being left for dead by Castiel, Hael begins picking her way across America and toward her magnum opus, the Grand Canyon. Along the way she stops at a diner to ask for directions and is cornered by Claire Novak, angel hunter extraordinaire. Claire, once a vessel for Castiel, feels a strong pull toward the angel of kindness, art and beauty, while Hael is drawn to Claire’s strong vessel. Hael offers to help Claire find Castiel, and the two team up to search for heaven’s most-wanted angel… and to pay a visit to the Grand Canyon.
