My mother and I used to live on food stamps when she was laid off for over a year while the economy was especially bad (not that it’s gotten much better). We still had barely enough to get by.
I don’t know what it is but there’s something about the right that really hates the poor. I just don’t think you can ever spend too much on giving food to people, especially when we spend billions on useless military projects.
