You know what, though, this is probably one of my favorite scenes, and this doesn’t even have the best part (in my opinion). Because, see, this is Sherlock reaching out to his big brother. This is a child who grew up different, grew up hated for being different, looking to his older brother and asking “Do you ever wonder if there’s something wrong with us?” Is it wrong that I’m this way? Is it truly so bad to be different? Am I a freak for not feeling the way everyone else does?
Then you have Mycroft, who’s telling him caring is not an advantage. I don’t think he believes it; I mean, look how much he cares about Sherlock. And sure, it’s time-consuming and aggravating, but he does it anyway because that’s his little brother and he loves him. No, I think he says it to reassure Sherlock. No, little brother, there’s nothing wrong with you. You’re different, but it’s okay. There’s nothing wrong with that.
Sorry but yeah this is one of my favorite scenes.
