John Barrowman: The tougher scene was the one where it was Eve, myself, you know, Gwen, Jack… When Jack was under the red sheet and Ianto is underneath the sheet. You know Gwen pulled back the cover on Jack’s face, and she gave a hint of a smile which told us all he’s gonna come back. It’s sad that he’s going through pain, but he’s going to come back. And when she turned to Ianto and pulled it back, that was it, because he is not. And when Jack came up, sat up behind her and came over to her, that realization for him because you know – I like to think, this is just my fangeek in myself – when I play that scene when Jack kissed him, in my head there’s an element because Jack brought him back to life before when he kissed him, but in my head as the actor, that could have happened so maybe when Jack came back to life, Ianto would be there. So, the realization for Jack that Ianto is gone is when he was in that morgue, and he saw him, and he pulled the cover off; the realization was he didn’t save him, the kiss was too late.
