This book is everything I want in a Doctor Who novel:

[Jack] ‘Mrs. Knife-Attack might be waiting. I shot her a few times but she didn’t seem as impressed as she should have been.’

[Doctor] ‘Probably not. She’s been dosed up on mutagenic revivifacation energy for a while.’

Rose looked at Jack. ‘What’s he on about?’

‘MRE,” Jack said. ‘Like, life force.’

‘Then why not say “life force”?’ Rose said.

‘Look, I didn’t write the manual,’ the Doctor protested.

Deviant Strain by Justin Richards. Nine, Rose and Jack. Nine being clever, Rose taking care of herself and Jack being bamf. Fantastic.

If you’re a writer and you see this post, stop what you’re doing.

WHENEVER YOU SEE THIS POST ON YOUR DASH, STOP WHAT YOU’RE DOING AND WRITE ONE SENTENCE FOR YOUR CURRENT PROJECT.

Just one sentence. Stop blogging for one minute and write a single sentence. It could be dialogue, it could be a nice description of scenery, it could be a metaphor, I don’t care. The point is, do it. Then, when you finish, you can get back to blogging.

If this gets viral, you might just have your novel finished by next Tuesday.

I have a random urge to write about Sally Donovan, but i don’t know what.
