This isn’t exactly what I had in mind.” Captain Jack with anyone you’d like.

“This isn’t exactly what I had in mind…” The Doctor looked around the busy bar, full of all sorts of species. “I said I wanted to talk with you privately.”

“And not on the tardis,” said Jack, guiding him into a seat. “Nothing more private than a crowd.”

The Doctor ordered a banana daquri and looked at Jack. “I need your help.”

“Anytime, you know that.” Jack briefly wondered if he should have ordered a stronger drink.

Quickly and quietly, the Doctor sketched out his plan, gesturing on the table with his fingers. Jack smiled. He might well get killed, a few times. But that just made him the man for the job.

He caught the Doctor’s hand. “I’ll take care of it,” he promised, feeling that hand in his own. Remembering.

The Doctor’s face softened. “We’ll meet again, I am sure of it.”

“Well you know, Doc, I’m sticking around for a while.” He brought the hand to his lips and kissed it.

The Doctor finished his drink and took his hand back. Jack watched him go before getting up to follow his orders.
