so i’m standing there in the toy aisle disappointed that there was no Gamora merch (all other Guardians were tho). when i watch a little girl run down my aisle and just as she’s reaching for an IronMan figurine, her dad catches up to her and says “no no, honey. this is the boys section, the girls is the over there.”  *points to the all pink aisle*

my jaw dropped, and i was speechless. i just smh and left.

I see this all the time and it breaks my heart

guess i’m not in the toy department enough. it rly was heartbreaking. 🙁

The toy store where I work is pretty much exclusively action figures, with some Transformers and stuff thrown in. All very comic-book and action-movie oriented stuff.

At least once a week, we get some asshole bitching about how we have no “girl toys” and meanwhile their daughter is clinging to a figurine of Spider-Man or Green Lantern or something.

I used to keep my mouth shut, but the way I look at it, these people are not going to be buying anything from me anyway so why the hell shouldn’t I tell them off?

I used to work at toys r us and yeah, I hated this attitude. And that the weakest telescope was the pink one.
