It suddenly occured to me that Top Gun is nearly 30 years old. (It came out in 1986).

Tween me had such a crush on young Tom Cruise. Top Gun, Days of Thunder, Far and Away, A Few Good Men. I distinctly remember begging to see Days of Thunder because he was in it.

I just wasn’t allowed to see anything R rated, so no Cocktail or Born on the Fourth of July for me.
