john and sherlock have never been allowed to be canonically gay in over 100 years and i think it’s about time we as a fandom collectively take our heads out of our asses and acknowledge that the stories have been cursed. bitter at his famous detective’s continued success, arthur conan doyle used his dying breath to curse his stories so that john and sherlock’s love may never come to fruition. “you may marry him, murder him, or do whatever you like with him” was a TAUNT, because he KNEW that there would be ONE THING you could NEVER DO.
