Well, this was awkward…!! (video)

I love how the cast sits back and lets the fans call Carver out on his shit. Like They just turn around and sit back like “Yes, my children. Be free. Drag him the way I cannot because he controls my paycheck.”

I’m not even in this fandom, but this is still super satisfying.

best moment from any Supernatural panel ever. And from almost any convention panel.

This moment is the best Carver episode of Supernatural ever. And finally, a murder that deserved to happen.

How about a shout out to the fan who asked the question? Look, I’m not even a Charlie fan, but consider the difference in how Carver handled her death with the gravity with which Kripke handled Ellen and Jo’s or Gamble did Bobby’s (arguably the biggest mistake of the series). This fan put the right spin on the question with “and dump her in a bathtub.” Charlie was as disposable as Meg who was left on the pavement like trash.

As a writer, I get that you have to go where the story takes you, but Carver is using it as a cop out. He can’t explain the reasons for the decision or justify the way it was handled, and clearly the cast has heard this song and dance before, and they don’t buy it either. Carver doesn’t respect the characters or the fans, and the way Charlie’s death was handled is emblematic of that.

The sad part was her death wasn’t even well used to propel the rest of the story arc. I get that this is Supernatural, everyone dies bloody, but she deserved better and the show deserved better

Charlie’s death was a man-pain plot device. It was nothing more than an excuse to have Dean go on a killing spree of the Stynes; themselves a last minute addition to try to conclude the season. I don’t think Carver had a clue where the season was going. There was no plan.
