John wore the same shirt for stag night that he was wearing when they first met.
I’ve realized that the shirt John wears when they first met is the same shirt he wears when he tells Sherlock that his middle name is Hamish:
The shirt John wears for stag night is the same shirt he wears when he plans to come back to Baker Street, freshly shaved, to see Sherlock.
And it is also the same shirt the wears in TAB when he yells at Sherlock to tell him where his bloody wife is:
