Chris Evans on Marvel directors, Total Film June 2016
Watching the cast in the TWS and CW press tours has really just made it apparent how much the Avengers cast did not like Ultron at all. If you go back and look at the interviews, I think I can remember a handful of moments where they actually talked about liking the movie in a way that seemed quasi-genuine. And even when they did, it was like watching them talk about someone’s bad cooking in front of them. Like trying to be polite without asking for a second helping or offering any kind of endorsement. The saltiness afterward has been really amazing.
The stuff we’re seeing from the CW press tour (Marvel being SO unsubtle in their timing re: BvS) has all been about how fucking amazing they all think the movie is and how excited they are for it. And it just makes it even more apparent how fucked up Ultron was under Joss. No wonder Marvel was like, byyyyyyye.
I also love how Chris was like, NOTHING AGAINST JOSS, and then took a big dump on him. HAHA. So much probably-unintended-but-never-the-less shade.
