I get this all the time
“You’re married, do you have kids?”
“No.”
“Oh. Do you want kids?”
“Love to. Hasn’t happened.”
“Have you thought about adopting?”
“Yup. It’s expensive”
My lack of children is intensely painful can people please stop grilling me every time I meet a new person?
