This is actually a technique my therapist told me to use – to raise above the thoughts or questions, to just let them go. Like a train pulling up to a platform, I would try to jump in front of it, to stop the thoughts, to stop the questions. 

And my therapist asked, what if you don’t do that? Don’t stop the train. Don’t get on the train. Let the train pass through the tunnel. It’s not the train for you.
