This is 100% true and accurate. Mycroft likes to act like he’s MR. POISE N’ PROPER, but I’m so sure he’s actually waaaayyyy more of a drama queen than Sherlock is, he just physically LOOKS less flashy. Like, have some choice quotes from his own mouth:
- “I’m the closest thing to a friend Sherlock Holmes is capable of having. An enemy.”
- “This petty feud between us is simply childish, people will SUFFER.”
- “The damsel in distress…in the end, are you really so obvious? Because in the end, this was textbook: the promise of love, the pain of loss, the joy of redemption…then give him a puzzle, and watch him dance. *actually twirls his umbrella point in the air*”
- the fact that he seemingly likes to just say “Sherlock Holmes” in its entirety for seemingly no reason OTHER THAN to be dramatic about it, like…Mycroft you SHARE THE SAME LAST NAME you don’t have to repeat it, you can just call him “Sherlock,” he’s your little brother. Is this a leftover from make-believe playtime days where they had to address each other by their full royal titles or whatever?
- “I AM THE SMART ONE.”
- “I’M LIVING IN A WORLD OF GOLDFISH.”
- (on seeing Les Mis) “Sherlock, please, I beg of you, you can take over the interval…BUT YOU DON’T UNDERSTAND THE PAIN OF IT…THE HORROR.”
- ”Oh dear god, it’s only two o’clock, it’s been Christmas Day for at least a week now, how can it only be two o’clock? I am in agony.”
- “‘Mycroft’ is the name you GAVE me, if you could possibly struggle all the way to the end.”
like PLZ Mycroft ya wee little drama queen
He must’ve been HELL to raise as a toddler. ABSOLUTE HELL. His poor mum and dad, especially since he was the first child. By Sherlock they were probably like “oh, it’s just this again, yeah we know how to handle this now.”
”Behave, Mike!”
“It wasn’t ME that upset her, Mycroft!”
Like yeaaahhhhh Mycroft was clearly the original problem child here. XD
LOL!! I can just see it now !lsdfjaslfjasdj!! They would be so hilarious !
this whole list is quite possibly the greatest thing I have ever read. especially:
the fact that he seemingly likes to just say “Sherlock Holmes” in its
entirety for seemingly no reason OTHER THAN to be dramatic about it,
like…Mycroft you SHARE THE SAME LAST NAME you don’t have to repeat it,
you can just call him “Sherlock,” he’s your little brother. Is this a
leftover from make-believe playtime days where they had to address each
other by their full royal titles or whatever?slain.
