Shit…
Ok, so John looks at Sholto like the sun shines out of his ass. Similar to the way he looks at Sherlock.

What if John is moderately comfortable with his bisexuality, but Sherlock is the first man he’s tried to actually ask out?

Like he waited and waited for Sholto, but since Sholto was the commanding officer he never made the move?

And any other guy he may or may not have been involved with asked him first. And then when he put himself out there he was shot down, so he’s like ‘ok, that’s not a thing I can do, stick to women’

And the way in which Sherlock shot him down and the events afterward just…
were not conducive to his regaining confidence.

Think about ‘punch me in the face’ in that context.

Sherlock had to punch first.

Sherlock will have to make the first move romantically too.

I like your thought process here. I’d imagine John’s confidence has got to be pretty shot by now.
Tho I still personally think John & Sholto did take that step & were more than friends.

Not sure about the confidence. John is shown to be very confident with women, but as soon as they turn him down, he leaves them be (it doesn’t seem to bother him either, btw). Maybe it’s the same with Sherlock. He said he wasn’t interested, so that’s that?

(not sure about what happened with Sholto. There was SOMETHING, but how far did they take it? No idea.)

I think John might need to see Sherlock has changed, so he can give it another shot. (or my fave solution: enter Victor! 😀 )

Sorry, I meant in general. Sherlock didn’t trust him with the whole fake his death thing & then his wife turns out to be a lying assassin. He’s got to be questioning his ability to make the right decisions about people.

Victor…I still don’t know how I feel about Victor. But I see where you’re going with it 😉

Oh, yes, I agree with you on that! Poor John. At least Sherlock knows now that it was a mistake not to include John.

I don’t know. I think Sholto was an eye opener for Sherlock, and Victor could be the same for John.

(I am just ignoring the baby for now. I really like the theory that it’s not John’s baby at all)

Let’s just ignore the baby forever!

I have no idea what they’re going to do with the baby, but I like the “it’s not John’s” theory best. Let’s have it be David’s, that’s my favorite.

I can’t believe how long we’re going to have to wait to have these questions answered.

I know there is also the ‘there is no baby’ theory, but I can’t ignore the fact that John is supposedly a good doctor, so I won’t buy it if they have Mary faking it.

WHY DID THEY NEED A BABY? There must be a reason for it.

Yeah, it’s not a soap opera, as much as I’d like the baby to be fake…John’s not an idiot, I really hope he’d be able to tell.

I think we can all agree the baby is going away, and it’s going to be for a very painful reason. I really hope they don’t have it actually be John’s & then kill it, but who knows?

It’s going to be painful anyway, because John believes it to be his baby. UNLESS Sherlock knew about David all along AND the whole HLV John taking Mary back thing is a scheme Mycroft and Sherlock cooked up (including John this time, obviously) and they all DID read the usb drive and they are going to double cross Mary or whatever. PLEASE. And then they can come back to whatever that nonsense was on the tarmac and do it right this time.
