Into Eternity
It ripped my heart out that Loki wasn’t allowed to be there…they could have had him in chains, escorted by guards…whatever the fuck. He had a right to say goodbye to his mother.
^I don’t even want to talk about this…
Honestly, even though this part of the movie kills me because he DID have a right to say goodbye to his mother, I really liked the execution of this. If he had went to the funeral; we would have lacked the shock factor when he lets down his illusion for Thor, we wouldn’t have had a genuine “Loki” response because he would have been in the presence of others and to show emotion would’ve made him seem weak (now this is more so of an assumption of how I interpret his character). So with the fact that he wasn’t allowed to go we see his genuine reaction, the anger, the rage, the remorse and regret, but he contains it all because he doesn’t want others to see him when he lacks control, because he doesn’t want to seem weak. And this is why its one of my favorite scenes because it’s so real.
Opinions? insatiablebookslut and laterovaries.
I agree. Character wise it was a good choice. Even story wise I think it reflects Odins true nature about how he feels about Loki. It is absolutely one of my favorite MCU moments.
But as a mom….it rips out my heart and stomps on it. Repeatedly.
