It’s not tuesday, but I wanted to tell someone this: I’m a lady, and for whatever reason I damnnear get a goatee if I don’t stay on top of the chin hair. I’ve hated how hairy my face gets forever. But for the first time in my life, Conchita Wurst makes me feel like I can be fabulous anyway, beard or no.

Let me tell you, facial hair on women is not as uncommon as everyone would have you believe. Pretty much every woman I have spoken to on the subject suffers from some form of facial hair that they don’t like (myself included), from the odd long or dark hair here and there, to a more obvious ‘beard’ or ‘moustache’. It’s just hormones. Some women have higher levels of testosterone than others and this leads to more hair. So first, don’t feel like you’re alone.

Second, fuck yeah you can be fabulous! It is your body, you do what you like with it. If people have a problem with it, then it’s their problem. Conchita Wurst is the epitome of ‘I am who I am and fuck you and the culture we live in if you have a problem with it.’ She’s showing that she can be beautiful being herself, but also that no matter how someone perceives her looks, it has no effect on her essence. She is talented and kind and positive no matter how people judge her appearance.

Stay fabulous, anon 🙂
