It’s almost impossible for me to answer this without going off on one about politics but er, I’ll try.
The man will literally work not just with, but for other states “the CIA on a freelance basis”, so for all he’s something of a British stereotype and loves his traditions I don’t have him down as a Little Englander in way shape or form. I reckon he’ll work with/for anyone if it achieves his aims, and certain EU benefits would arguably make his shady MI6/government work easier (intelligence sharing, Europol, European arrest warrant, etc etc). That makes me think he’d be favour of staying put in the EU. Plus 28 member states = all the more easily accessible strings to pull for the British Government himself.
Who knows what he’d do about the referendum, but maybe if Mycroft was around and it suited him we wouldn’t be having it in the first place. You know what he’s like.
