I had pneumonia a few years ago, and yeah same thing my friend was like “don’t little kids and old people get that” and i’m like wow now i feel dumb for being sick, how

Yeah, that’s why i finally went to Urgent Care. A weekend of fever is one thing, but a still store throat 4-5 days later? And last night i couldn’t hardly swallow >.<. Adults get sick too! Don’t forget, the 1918 flu pandemic mostly killed otherwise healthy young adults.

okay good, at least you’re on the way to recovery! lol omg like children are carriers of pestilence or something @_____<

Well and apparently strep is much more common in kiddies then adults. In this case it’s just body going ‘nope, we’re going to give you something kids usually get. Have fun with that!’

oh no! do you have to go the doctor for that? ugh, take care of yourself D8 *worries*

I started getting sick Friday night, had a fever over the weekend but even by last night the sore throat wasn’t better so I went to Urgent Care this morning. Though there was this amusing exchange with the doctor:

“Do you have children?” “No.”

“Are you around children?” “No.”

“Do you work with children?” “No.”

“Did you see a child at the grocery store?” “Possibly.”

I’ve got penicillin to take for the next ten days or so. Yay.
