bucky giggling and smiling so widely when he tells steve that he used to wear newspapers in his shoes
bucky having tears in his eyes while watching the winter soldier murder tony’s parents
bucky begging and crying out for zemo to stop when his winter soldier codes are being said
bucky buying plums in his spare time and keeping a picture of steve in one of his memory notebooks (which had chocolate bars on top of it)
bucky firmly telling zemo that his name is not james, it’s bucky
bucky saying that he remembers all of the people he’s killed while being the winter soldier
bucky protecting steve from tony and getting his arm shot off in the process and even when he’s down and in pain from losing his arm he can’t let tony get to steve
bucky thinking that he’s not worth all of this to steve
bucky deciding that instead of living his life in a constant state of fear and paranoia he’ll go back into cryo for the safety and protection of others and himself until t’challa can find a cure

What I need: An entire movie devoted to Sam and Bucky getting into/out of sticky situations together and affectionately hating each other the whole time
MARCH 5, 1945. (Which was actually a Monday! Good job for once Marvel!)
And we know that the launch and crash of the Valkyrie happened very soon after Zola’s capture, which happened at the same time as Bucky’s fall, so I think we can safely say that Bucky fell sometime in the first few days of March, 1945. Which means he was held for about three weeks before the Russian file on him was opened on March 23rd, 1945.
Three weeks and Bucky was already being groomed for Hydra…. Did Zola even spend a few months in the American prison before he was back in his lab, giving Bucky the metal arm? It could be why Zola refused the food from Colonel Phillips- perhaps he was already getting cushy treatment from some double agent, and could afford to be difficult.
I want to know who the traitor was that apparently was in the SSR since day one.

Bucky’s relationship with Steve may be the only thing stopping him from committing suicide.
