Also Me: Why is continuing a fic so haaaard?
Still Me: Why is ending a fic so haaaard?
Accidentally reading weird-ass kinky fanfic like
Writers end up writing about their obsessions. Things that haunt them; things they can’t forget; stories they carry in their bodies waiting to be released.
Fan fiction is a way of the culture repairing the damage done in a system where contemporary myths are owned by corporations instead of by the folk.
So i got a comment on one of my Sherstrade fics today:
Um.. of 270 fics, 136 are Johnlock….
everyone’s got that couple of fanfics that you just read over and over even though you practically know it by heart because it’s so perfect it’s like a favorite book and you just catch yourself clicking to a random chapter on it because it’s so good it’s comforting to reread it
Currently imagining Mark Gatiss, age 15, writing slash Johnlock porn in his room and thinking “I’m going to fix your shit ACD”
Just imagine if he’d had tumblr.
