Well fuck me I just got affected by the gov’t shutdown in a bad way. Hubby’s unemployed atm, so he’s been doing day labor the last couple days to get us through. He deposited checks the last two days, but today when he went to put gas in his truck the card was declined.
Turns out the funds from the last two days are on hold. Because of the government shutdown the bank can’t just put money in from an ATM deposit, they have to wait for it to actually clear the other bank before they can deposit it in ours. I have no idea how we’re going to get through the next week if he can’t even put gas in his truck to go do more work.
