If you’re learning, besides disney movies, I’d recommend Extra en Español. It’s on youtube and made for learners, so they talk slow and it’s easy to follow. It is Spanish Spanish, not Latin American Spanish, but most of it’s the same. Also it’s basic sitcom plot #3 boy likes girl, girl doesn’t like boy, but roommate likes boy. And then they throw a visiting American boy in the mix that doesn’t speak good Spanish…

Or you can try watching this and just giggle.

Thanks!! I’m going to watch that – Spanish Spanish is great^^ And I’ll watch the Disney movies. 😀

(Btw – how did you reply like this to my reply? I don’t know how to do that o.o)

I reply from my activity page, if I mouse over there’s an arrow (that might be an xkit thing though?)

Hulu has a Latino section as well, but most of that doesn’t have subtitles. Mexican Sesame Street is good too, but they took that off Hulu and what’s on youtube doesn’t have subtitles.

Also on youtube there are a lot of spanish covers of popular english songs, if you’re into pop music. Here is a link to some stuff I’ve saved, yes, there is doctor who and Torchwood in Spanish (but the Torchwood stuff they speak really fast fyi)

Ah, okay – well I suppose it’s an xkit thing as there doesn’t appear an arrow on my page.

Thanks for the link! And omg I just realized that I can watch my Supernatural DVDs also in Spanish, they even have Spanish subtitles – yay!

Yeah I find it useful to watch stuff I already know, that way I don’t have to pay attention to plot and try to follow the words.

But yes, I think a lot, if not most, of recent DVDS would at the very least have Spanish subtitles.

Oh another good one is the Coffee Break Spanish podcast.

I’m learning spanish, too! So if you find something decent to watch with spanish subtitles, tell me 😀

I’m learning Spanish, so I was searching Netflix to find stuff I can watch that has a Spanish language track and Spanish subtitles (I read better than I speak).

A lot of the Disney stuff has that, but you know what else does?

Sharknado. All the Sharknado films.

Well, I wanted something I’m already familiar with, Sharknado can’t be worse in Spanish than it is in English.

Okay whoever subbed these voices is ridic.

And I now know the Spanish word for shark… tiburón

Okay Finn said something I didn’t recognize, the subtitle said maldición… so i looked it up. maldición means curse… lol.

Now i kinda want to really know what Finn said.

Now it subtitled it for George, and I happen to know that the line there was “Shit” but the subtitles still said maldición…

I think he said “cagada”

No soy stripper… i know that what that means. lol

Okay, so I have to pass an intermediate language class if I’m gonna get my degree and Spanish is what I’m aiming for. I’ve had it before and I figure if I start now, then by August hopefully i’ll be able to pass.

So I signed up for Duolingo and i’ve been looking around for Spanish language things to help me get used to hearing/learning it.

And I just found an episode of Torchwood en Español on youtube. Specifically Kiss KIss Bang Bang. And I’m sitting here giggling because when Jack comes in he says “Hola chicos” and I’m just very heavily reminded me of that Torchwood ‘Gay or European’ video.
