Now that we know Mycroft’s parents are ordinary I want Lestrade’s parents be super wealthy and educated. He wouldn’t have like being handed everything so he left home when he was very young to make his own money and choices.

It is now canon that Greg Lestrade helped Sherlock film awkward videos to help him cover for lies that Greg knows about because Greg understands that Sherlock has to lie to get out of social obligations and Sherlock trusts Greg enough to let him help him do it.
