Brazil museum fire: ‘incalculable’ loss as 200-year-old Rio institution gutted
This is an awful loss, to Brazil and the world. They’re still figuring out what was lost, but it seems that most of the collection is most likely destroyed. Including the oldest human remains found in the americas, a LOT of pre-columbian archeology, and a pompeii fresco
I want to thank Steven Moffat for everything he has given Doctor Who – I’ve loved working with him, he is an absolute genius and has brought fans all over the world such joy. I will be very sad to see him leave the show but I can’t wait to see what he will deliver in his last ever series next year with a brand new companion. I have decided to schedule Steven’s big finale series in Spring 2017 to bring the nation together for what will be a huge event on the channel. 2016 is spoilt with national moments including the Euros and Olympics and I want to hold something big back for 2017 – I promise it will be worth the wait! I would also like to take this opportunity to welcome Chris Chibnall, a wonderfully talented writer who I know will bring something very special to the hit series.

So August 1 is my one year anniversary of writing Johnlock. Instead of my normal queue I’m going to be posting links to 24 or so of my favorite johnlock fics that I’ve written. If you want to block it, everything will be tagged ‘a year of johnlock’
It’s been a helluva year. And I really think of August 1st as my ‘real’ AO3 anniversary. That first month I posted 27 litlte fics in 30 days, and my monthly average is still high.
And I’m so grateful to all of you who have read, and kudosed and commented. You keep me going. I’ve written way more than I ever thought I would, with no end in sight.
