I’m going through my fics and I knew I slowed down last year, but what’s mildly ridiculous to me is that of my 17 pages of fics, 13 ½ of them are from 2014 or earlier. Boy did I have a slow down.

But I guess the important thing is I kept writing?

I know it’s a lazy Sunday because I’ve spent half the day playing Sims 4 and watching “This Old House” because I discovered it was on the PBS channel on my Roku.

Saw Zootopia yesterday, which, yes, was pretty great.

I got excited that there was a character named Emmit Otterton, ‘cause that’s an obvious reference to Emmet Otter’s Jug-Band Christmas

I wrote a little Mystrade thing tonight, but I can’t post it cause, well I’m kinda banned off A03 for a month (I had an annoucement post up, which isn’t a fanwork, so that violates the rules. Oops). Two weeks to go and this is making me a little crazy. I haven’t gone a month without posting at least one or three fics since I started writing the Sherlock fandom, I think.

At least I’m still posting under MerHums.

I’m having one those nights when I feel like a minnow in this fandom. I know it’s not true, that I have followers and a LOT of fics that people like. But sometimes I just don’t feel very important at all.

I find it interesting to watch @linmanuel speak in interviews and things because we’re about the same age (he’s a year younger then me), but we’re both pretty steeped in Internet culture and on top of current stuff with ‘the youth’ (like tumblr here), so he’ll throw memes and slang and stuff into conversation sometimes without even thinking about it and I do the same thing. And somehow it doesn’t sound like a parent trying too hard to be ‘cool’.

Am I the only person getting annoyed by Tony constantly hitting on Natasha even though she’s clearly not interested in Avenger’s Academy?

i’m amused that i looked at the calendar and went “February 1. Two weeks till my birthday… and also Deadpool. (my bday is Valentines day and I’ll probably see Deadpool on it)

Good Lord, I’m turning 37 this year. When the hell did that happen?

I’m working on getting my disaster of a house clean and I’m finding “Welcome to Night Vale” a perfect device for it because their episodes are about 20 minutes a piece and I like to work in 20/10s. Plus it’s interesting/weird enough to keep my attention
