Welcome to the Black Parade – Supernatural
This is one of those rare instances where I NEEDED a video to go with a song. So I sought one out. And I was shocked to find that the one I liked best had less than 100 views overall. This is an excellent blend of lyrics to images, and exactly what I needed. This is a great song for these characters, this family business, this show.
These are deeply flawed characters trying to be the heroes, the ‘saviors of the broken, the beaten and the damned.’ It’s not just a legacy they’re carrying on with: this is their story now. It’s heartrending and moving and sometimes bizzarre and often tragic, but ultimately based on hope, on spitting in the face of things much more powerful than them, fighting the odds, and carrying on.
Give a cheer for all the broken
Listen here, because it’s who we are
I’m just a man, I’m not a hero
Just a boy, who had to sing this song
I’m just a man, I’m not a heroI. Don’t. Care.
We’ll carry on.
