merindab:

We’re almost to the end of the year, the normal time to look back. 2013 has been a lot of things to me. It was the year I really rediscovered my love of Doctor Who. I found Sherlock, Torchwood, Supernatural and Superwood. I went to my first con as an adult and cosplayed for the first time. I started this tumblr. I wrote fanfic for the first time in 15 years. I published my first book.

2013 was the year I learned to dream again.

A couple years ago I was ready to give up writing. To put it on a shelf marked ‘unrealistic’ and ‘never happen.’

Now I have roughly 180,000 words on AO3, and an amount of hits that blows my mind. I have a book you can buy on Amazon.

I want to thank you. Some you have become basically family and you know who you are. And for everyone who has read or said a kind word or liked a fic or a post or reblogged something: you have quite literally changed my life.

I changed my major last week because you’ve given me the confidence to stretch. You’ve helped me believe in myself as a writer.

So thank you. All of you. My life would be poorer by far without all if you in it.

Here’s to an amazing 2014.

The perils of running multiple blogs:

I just realized I accidentally posted the pope on my nsfw porn blog.
